Research Winter School
The Research Winter School is an important event on the research calendar. The Faculty of Education views research as one of its core responsibilities and is committed to supporting its research students. The Winter School is aimed at research students; it provides a variety of workshops and seminars that would be useful to all research students at different stages of their candidature. There is a wide range of topics covered.
Attend the Winter School to satisfy your residency requirements!
All the External (off-campus) HDR students are eligible to apply for the Monash Travel Grant if they reside interstate or overseas. Travel Grant applicants must be presenting a paper in the MERC Conference and preferably attending sessions in the Winter School. Faculty strongly encourages external students to attend the Winter School to meet their residency requirements. External doctoral as well as Masters students are required to visit the campus for 5 working days per year (full time) or per two years (part time) to meet with their supervisor, do library research and attend Faculty seminars, etc.
